Christmas shopping tips
1. Make a list
This may sound like simple common sense but you would be amazed at how many of our guests when asked, said they just used their memory for who they need to buy for. (men we are looking at you)
2. Set yourself a budget
Again a simple but effective tip. If you set a budget from the word go you can begin to think about how much you can spend on each person on your list and what type of Christmas gift you can buy them.
3. Decide what type of gift matches each person on your list
By doing this you wont spend hours (unless thats your thing) walking round shops looking for inspiration.
4. Start early
DO NOT leave your shopping till the last minute. We all know how busy Norwich is at the best of times but it really goes up a gear during the build up to the festive season. Don't forget about Black Friday for some amazing discounts which should hit the internet and the high street on the 27th November, this is the perfect excuse to get started with your shopping if you haven't already.
5. Make the most of your old gift vouchers/cards
We all have them, the last few pounds on a gift card where we didn't quite manage to spend the whole amount. Use these towards your shopping this year to bring the cost down.
6. Set yourself a deadline
Setting yourself a finish date for your shopping will get you motivated and ensure you don't leave it all to the last minute.
7. Hide them well
This tip is definitely aimed at all you parents. Asking around the hotel, many of the staff have confessed to rummaging through their mum and dads cupboards to try and sneak a peek at the Christmas treats before they get wrapped.
