Natalies last day

Today we say goodbye to Natalie Hood our senior receptionist who has been with us for over 4 years. We asked her to give us a brief overview of her time here and this is what she had to say.

I started working at Park Farm Hotel over 4 years ago in the Food and Beverage team – it was my first proper job since finishing college and it goes without saying that I was very nervous! I remember my first shift like it was yesterday; I was shadowing our now Senior Duty Manager, Brendan and I took to it like a fish to water.

It wasn’t long before I enquired about a reception position – I wanted to gain more administrative experience within the company. Our Front Office Manager Michael said I could undertake 2 weeks practice just in case anybody was ever off sick and they needed a quick stand in- 2 weeks very quickly turned into 3 years!

I have truly loved being part of the Park Farm team – it is a fantastic place to work and to visit! I had my Year 11 high school prom here when I was 16 and my boyfriend brought me here as a surprise 18th birthday present too.

I’m certainly going to miss everybody from the staff; to some of the regular customers who I have come to know well; to the taxi drivers that visit us most days (especially M&M Taxis who bring us chocolates in most weeks!) and most importantly the close friends I have made in the reception team.

Natalie or Splat (due to her height) as she is affectionately known by some of us will be greatly missed, but we do sincerely wish her all the best in her new venture.
