The Finished Suite

During Lockdown

Although closing our doors for over 3 months was difficult, it allowed us to focus entirely on the Colney Suite project. Here are a couple of images throughout the development.

The scheme is influenced by the Georgian architecture of the original house. We were inspired by beautiful Georgian ballrooms, and once the panelling had been hung on the walls, the feeling of the room was transformed.

Of course, no event space would be complete without a bar.

The next stage was the most exciting… The decorating! Taking inspiration from a grand ballroom, the wallpaper features a gallery wall and a large book shelf. The chandeliers were hung and unwrapped and the large lighting system was finished. The big task of laying the carpet took a few days.

  • Week 8

With the installation of the roof light things are really starting to take shape and now the room is watertight the exciting interior work can begin.

  • Week 6 & 7

Our excitement levels peaked during this time, with the windows and doors being installed, the roof structure was then completed completed, glazed roof light added and the external landscaping started.

  • Week 4 & 5

The work continued and during this period the steel framework was installed, the roof structure started to take shape, removal of the temporary support structure was finished and a working platform for the ceiling work was added.

  • Week 2 & 3

Week two and three saw the installation of a temporary support structure and the removal of the dividing walls and the remaining flat roof structure. The bases were also put in for the new steelwork.

  • Week 1

The first week of the project saw the demolition of the existing Conservatory structure, exterior walls, doors and windows. Preparations were also made to landscape the gardens.

“There truly are not enough words that can describe just how amazing our day was, from booking to the actual day, was beyond anything we could have wished for.

I cannot recommend Park Farm enough, the package we had was so reasonable, Sue and Ed went above and beyond all of our expectations both prior and on the day.

Thank you all so so much from the bottom of our hearts.”
