Angie and Rob – 11th June 2016
Married in our Colney Suite Mr and Mrs Crook were joined by over 80 of their friends and family. Shortly after they enjoyed a drinks reception serving wine and non-alcoholic punch.
A three course wedding breakfast was served around 3:30pm and a mouthwatering selection of cheese and biscuits in the evening. Fun was had by all dancing until midnight with music provided by our resident DJ.
“After Rob finally popped the question, the search for a wedding venue commenced. Shortlisted, we visited Park Farm Hotel and it beat the other venues by a country mile.
First impressions count, and we loved the driveway and imagined some lovely photos in this setting. The grass and gardens were well looked after and all the staff were very friendly.
Sue impressed us immediately, her professionalism, dedication and calm demeanour made us feel very much at ease right from the off; very organised, she communicated with us effectively through the entire planning phase.
To make things even smoother on the day, Sue spoke directly to the lady decorating the tables, the photographer and the florist, arranging timings. There was nothing for the bride to do other than get herself ready on the day. I even got a sneak peak at the room the night before, all the chair covers and tables were ready, just waiting on the flowers.
Andrew and his team in the Imagine spa, also highly recommended, all the staff friendly and professional, and most importantly, the curls lasted.
All the guests enjoyed the day, smiles and laughter everywhere. Everything ran like clockwork, there wasn't an empty moment and nothing was rushed. The toastmaster was a good effect and worked hard, it was like "herding cats" to get guests moved for photographs!
The food was excellent, as was the service, drinks were topped up and no one was left wanting. The evening cheese and biscuits went down a storm too. Craig Royale, the house disco, was amazing, he and the live singer I hired shared entertaining the guests.
Would I have changed anything, well, when I picked the date, I didn't know it would be England's first match in the Euros!
